What is a mobile patient monitor?

A mobile patient monitor is used to record vital functions, such as breathing rate and oxygen saturation of patients. With modern monitors, many values such as an EKG, the oxygen saturation or blood pressure can be measured at the same time and displayed on a monitor. The great advantage of mobile patient monitors is that these monitors are portable. In emergencies they can simply be taken with you. The data is saved and can be read out on an external surveillance station after use.

When is a mobile patient monitor used?

Mobile patient monitors are used in operations or intensive care units, but also in the outpatient area.

What values do a mobile patient monitor indicate?

Depending on the model, various sensors and measuring devices are connected to the monitor to read the following values:

  • EKG (ECG)
  • Blood pressure (NIBP)
  • Partial oxygen saturation (spo2)
  • Breathing frequency (AF)
  • Body temperature
  • Heart rate (HF)
  • Capnometry (ETCO2)

What do you have to pay attention to when buying a mobile patient monitor?

1. Easy operation

Disory animations and text instructions on the screen of the patient monitor lead you step by step through the transmission.

2. Which parameters are recorded

Depending on the model, various sensors and measuring devices are connected to the monitor, which provide data on the parameters such as EKG and arrhythmia, SP02, blood pressure, heart rate. Optionally, you can often add additional parameters.

3. Light and handy

Patient monitors with low weight, a handle and a bed holder are particularly suitable for mobile use.

4. Robust construction

Thanks to a robust construction, you can take the patient monitor with you anywhere without hesitation.

5. Fast data transmission

You can save pictures and videos of the measured values on your mobile patient monitor. A USB interface can easily transfer data to the computer.

6. Print function

Modern devices can be integrated into a network and can use existing printers to print out certain values.

You need this accessories for your mobile patient monitor

Lithium battery (battery): You can expand your mobile patient monitor with a battery so that your monitor can be separated from the power grid. In this way, patients can be driven from a recovery room to the operating room without being lost.

Accessories set (pulseximeter, nibp cuffs, EKG cables): With this set you can expand your mobile patient monitor with a SPO2 sensor, a NIBP cuff and a 3-channel ECG. All you have to do is infect the cables to the device.
