Erler Zimmer Otto Ostomy, extended in detail
Otto Ostomy is an anatomical model with a transparent body and four openings that can be used to visualise stomas. The colour-coded organs represented are the stomach, small intestine, large intestine, rectum, kidneys, ureters and bladder. To support teaching procedures, the small intestine, large intestine, rectum and bladder can be removed to show how these organs can be removed if necessary. The ureters can be removed from the bladder and re-inserted into the ileum canal to demonstrate how a urostomy works. The flexible small and large bowel can be removed separately from the stoma tray and attached to the back to demonstrate either a terminal or loop stoma. The colon can be separated at four different points: ascending colon, transverse colon, descending colon and sigmoid colon.
The extended Otto Ostomy stoma package contains various stomas in different sizes and shapes, such as a stoma with a diameter of 0.9 cm, a stoma with a diameter of 5 cm, a urostoma with a diameter of 8 cm, stents, a loop stoma with rod, a loop stoma without rod, a double-barrelled stoma, an oval stoma, a mushroom-shaped stoma, a prolapsed stoma, a stoma with a diameter of 8 cm, a granuloma stoma, a necrotic stoma, an ischaemic stoma, a stoma in the skin fold, a stoma with parastomal hernia, a stoma with mucocutaneous separation, a sunken stoma, an overflowing stoma, an ileum conduit, a small bowel loop, a small bowel loop adapter and a large bowel loop adapter.
