Erler Zimmer Vinnie, venous insufficiency leg in detail
The Vinnie venous insufficiency leg is a great tool for teaching, practising, skills testing and training nursing skills when dealing with patients suffering from this symptom. Injuries caused by venous disease and other wounds to the lower leg and feet can be extremely painful for the patient. Effective and successful diagnosis and treatment are therefore urgently required in such cases.
The leg with venous insufficiency presents with various conditions including venous ulcers, cellulitis, stasis dermatitis, varicose veins, haemosiderin discolouration, vascular inflammation, lipodermatosclerosis, calciphylaxis, pyoderma gangraenosum, healed ulcers, fungal-infected thickened nails, maceration, diabetic ulcers as well as atrophy, depressible oedema, telangiectasias and reticular veins.
This model can also be used as a teaching aid and training leg for clinicians who want to learn or practise applying compression bandages. An optional rotating stand can be purchased to provide a realistic experience of supporting the leg during bandaging.
The stand is not included but can be ordered separately (item no. R11020A).
