Erler Zimmer catheterisation model with male genital insert "Henri" and female genital insert "Florence" in detail
Description of the product:
These first-class training models for the education and training of transurethral bladder catheterisation in humans were named after the historical figures Henri Dunant and Florence Nightingale to express our appreciation for their achievements in nursing. The name is also intended to emphasise the aspiration of these models, namely to be a milestone in nursing training and to set new standards.
Both models are ideal for training and education and are characterised by the use of high-quality materials that hardly differ from a real human body in terms of feel and appearance, but are robust and hard-wearing at the same time. The lower body allows the insertion of the male and female genitals, whereby care has been taken to ensure that the anatomical position of the genitals and urethra is accurately reproduced. The innovative bladder can be placed in various positions in the body to optimally connect both the female and male genitalia to the bladder.
Due to the appropriate design of the shape of the bladder and the use of a new type of valve in the bladder, no resistance is felt when inserting the catheter into the bladder, so that students cannot "feel" the correct insertion depth. This special feature clearly sets the model apart from other trainers with a conventional valve. The transparent bladder also allows the position of the catheter and the blockage to be visualised. The bladder is connected to a bag that releases fluid when catheterisation is successful.
The male genital has a replaceable foreskin that can be moved just like a real person to practice handling and hygiene. The model offers the most realistic urethra of any catheterisation trainer currently available on the market. All four sections of the urethra are represented with the corresponding anatomical shape and realistic resistance during catheterisation. By attaching a strap, the narrowing of the prostate due to BPH or prostate cancer can be simulated and the necessary use of a larger or firmer catheter can be practised.
The female genitalia is designed in such a way that the flexible labia must be spread to find the urethral opening. The urethral opening is designed in such a way that it is not obviously recognisable and requires appropriate care when finding it, similar to a female patient. The urethra provides realistic resistance when inserting the catheter.
The model is available as a combination with both genital inserts or with just the male or female insert. The genital inserts can be purchased separately so that the male or female models can be subsequently expanded to a model with both genders.
Delivery includes a transport bag.
