Erler Zimmer skull model for dentistry with CMD syndrome, 8-part in detail

This high-quality model of a human skull not only focuses on a detailed representation of the skull structures, but also places a special focus on the teeth and jaws. For this reason, it is the ideal teaching and demonstration tool for dentistry and oral surgery. With this model, you can remove the front half of the upper and lower jaw and take a look at the teeth with roots, one side with nerves and blood vessels as well as the maxillary sinuses. It is not only a perfect tool for learning anatomy, but also a great help in explaining oral surgery and implantology.

This particular design was developed to illustrate CMD syndrome. In this craniomandibular dysfunction, there is a dysfunction between the temporomandibular joints, the masticatory muscles and the teeth. The model shows the wear of the tooth enamel due to teeth grinding, the wear of the discus and the relevant masseter muscle (superficial part), masseter muscle (deep part) and the relatively newly discovered coronoid muscle. All three muscles can be removed.
