Description:
Femannose® N offers natural support for the prevention and supportive treatment of cystitis and uncomplicated urinary tract infections. The main active ingredient D-mannose, a natural sugar, coats inflammation-causing bacteria in the bladder and prevents them from colonising. This prevents the bacteria from adhering to the bladder mucosa and triggering inflammation, and they are simply flushed out the next time you go to the toilet.
Symptoms and causes:
Typical symptoms of cystitis are a constant urge to urinate, a burning sensation when urinating, cloudy, unpleasant-smelling urine and abdominal pain. Common causes are the intestinal bacterium Escherichia coli (E. coli), but factors such as sexual intercourse, stress, cold feet or a weakened immune system can also favour an infection.
