How does the ingredient of the medicine work?

The mint oil comes from the Japanese peppermint plant and acts as a natural mixture. About the plant itself:

- Appearance: biennial, upright herb whose leaves are arranged in a ground-covering rosette in the first year; small pink flowers in loose umbels.
- Occurrence: Cultivation mainly in Brazil, Japan and India
- Main ingredients: menthol, menthone, limonene
Japanese mint oil is similar to European peppermint oil, but contains considerably more menthol. It relieves mild cramps in the gastrointestinal tract, has a flatulent effect and stimulates the flow of bile. It inhibits the growth of germs. By stimulating cold receptors on the skin, menthol blocks pain receptors and cools swollen mucous membranes. When inhaled with mint oil, it has an antitussive effect and liquefies stuck mucus.
