KaWe F.O. TEPRO Macintosh spatula in detail
The TEPRO is a reliable spatula that has the shape of the most commonly used Macintosh spatula. The special feature of this blade is the tapered handle, which increases manoeuvrability and handling during intubation. Although the proximal section of the blade is narrower and provides protection for the anterior teeth, the tongue can be pushed up to the side as in conventional intubation with a Macintosh blade. Intubation is effortless and the patient's teeth remain optimally protected.
This blade is equipped with interchangeable fibre optics for improved visibility. The spatula section close to the handle is narrowed, which enables easy intubation even in difficult anatomical conditions. The blade is made of matt stainless steel to prevent back reflections. The light guides can be replaced and the blade is easy to clean. It is environmentally friendly and economical at the same time. The fibre optic has a diameter of 4 mm and at least 5500 individual fibres. The spatula can be autoclaved up to 134°C and is suitable for approx. 4000 cycles. It complies with the standards of DIN ISO 7376.
