Rivanol® solution 0.1% - antiseptic for topical use
Active ingredient:
1.05 mg ethacridine lactate-1-water
Excipient:
Purified water
Indication:
Rivanol® is used as a disinfectant and antiseptic for topical application.
Dosage:
Use the medicine according to the instructions. If you are unsure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The usual dosage is to apply undiluted to the affected area twice a day and leave for at least 30 minutes.
Duration of use:
Do not use the product for more than 7 days without medical advice.
Instructions for use:
Rivanol® is recommended for use on the skin.
Side effects:
Possible side effects may include allergic reactions of the skin, especially in combination with sunlight. In rare cases, swelling of the face, itchy skin rash, headaches and mild cramps may occur.
Interactions:
Tell your doctor or pharmacist about any other medicines you are taking as interactions may occur. Do not mix Rivanol® with other solutions to avoid flocculation.
Contraindications:
The preparation must not be used if you are allergic to ethacridine lactate and other acridine derivatives or in the eye area.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
There are insufficient data on the use of Rivanol® during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It is therefore recommended not to use the product during these periods.
Patient information:
No special precautions are required.
