Suprasorb C collagen wound dressing - detailed product description

The Suprasorb collagen dressing has a porous structure with very pronounced capillary activity. This makes it very suitable for absorbing fluids. This property promotes the continuous absorption of exudate. Inflammation-inducing proteases and cytokines are also absorbed and facilitate the formation of granulation tissue. The migration of fibroblasts is induced and collagen synthesis is stimulated. The new formation of the body's own collagen fibrils and fibres is supported by the continuous supply of collagen. The build-up of the wound bed promotes the necessary proliferation and migration of epidermal cells. Suprasorb C is particularly recommended if stagnant wound conditions are noticeable after treatment with other wound dressings.

  1. The wound is carefully cleaned according to clinical standards. The skin around the wound should be dry and clean.
  2. The sterile packaging is opened and the dressing is removed hygienically. If necessary, the dressing can be cut to the required size and shape with scissors.
  3. The dressing is applied dry and with the side at the bottom of the pack.

Tip: If there is little or no wound secretion, Suprasorb C can be applied slightly moistened with a physiological saline or Ringer's solution. The dressing should remain slightly moist on the wound. A combination with other products for moist wound treatment (e.g. Suprasorb H hydrocolloid dressing) is possible, and the dressing change or reapplication depends on the wound thickness and conditions. However, in the case of heavily exuding wounds, it is recommended to change the dressing daily or several times a day.
