Apply the medicine to the lips and the adjacent affected areas. Do not apply before eating. Avoid accidental contact with the eyes.
Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying the medicine.
Duration of use?
You should not use the medicine for longer than 5 days without medical advice. If symptoms persist or recur regularly, you should consult your doctor.
Overdosage?
If the medicine is used as described, no overdose symptoms are known. If in doubt, consult your doctor.
As a general rule: Pay particular attention to conscientious dosing for infants, small children and the elderly. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any effects or precautionary measures.
A dosage prescribed by a doctor may differ from the information in the package leaflet. Since the doctor will adjust it individually, you should therefore use the medicine according to his instructions.
Storage before opening
The medicine must

Storage after opening or preparation
The medicinal product may be used for a maximum of 3 months after opening/preparation!
The medicinal product must be stored at room temperature after opening/preparation.
Always:
- Hypersensitivity to the ingredients
- Skin damage due to other viral infections of the skin
- Fungal infection of the skin
- Bacterial superficial inflammation
- Skin infection caused by parasites
Under certain circumstances - talk to your doctor or pharmacist:
- Weakened immune system, e.g. HIV infections, organ transplants, long-term high-dose cortisone treatment
Which age group should be considered?
- Children under 12 years of age: As a rule, the medicine should not be used in this age group.
What about pregnancy and breastfeeding?
- Pregnancy: Consult your doctor. Various considerations play a role in whether and how the medicine can be used during pregnancy.
- Breastfeeding: Consult your doctor or pharmacist. They will check your particular situation and advise you accordingly as to whether and how you can continue breastfeeding.
If you have been prescribed the medicine despite a contraindication, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. The therapeutic benefit may be greater than the risk associated with the use of a contraindication.what adverse effects can occur?
- Dry skin (xeroderma)
- Scaling or peeling of the skin (exfoliation)
- Burning sensation on the skin
- Skin discomfort at the application site
- Pain at the application site
- Itching (pruritus)

- Caution in case of corticoid allergy (e.g. cortisone)!
- Emulsifiers (e.g. cetyl/stearyl alcohol) can cause skin irritation (e.g. contact dermatitis).
- Solvents (e.g. propylene glycol, E 477) can cause skin irritation.
- There may be medicines with which interactions occur. You should therefore generally inform your doctor or pharmacist of any other medicine you are already taking before starting treatment with a new medicine. This also applies to medicines that you buy yourself, use only occasionally or have been using for some time.
How do the ingredients of the medicine work?
The medicine contains a combination of the active ingredients acyclovir and hydrocortisone. Aciclovir combats certain viruses by damaging their genetic material and thus preventing them from replicating. It is particularly effective against herpes viruses. This can stop a herpes infection, e.g. on the lips. Hydrocortisone has an anti-inflammatory effect.
