- Transient, spontaneous reddening of the skin with a feeling of heat, especially on the face (flushing)
- Allergic reactions, such as
- Constriction of the airways
- Angioneurotic oedema (swelling of the face, hands and feet)
- Accelerated pulse
- Low blood pressure

- Caution in case of allergy to acetylcysteine!
- Caution in case of allergy to ascorbic acid (vitamin C)!

The active ingredient breaks up the large components in the mucus of the respiratory tract into smaller pieces. This makes the thick mucus more fluid and easier to cough up.
