Babylax in detail

The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

How to use?
Give the enema into the bowel when it is as empty as possible. It is advisable to grease the neck of the container slightly. When pulling out the container, you should leave it compressed so that the active substance cannot be sucked back in. If you are using half an enema, squeeze out half of the contents first.

Duration of use?
The duration of use depends on the nature of the symptoms and/or the course of the disease. As a rule, however, the duration of treatment should be as short as possible and only last a few days. If your symptoms persist for longer, please consult your doctor.

Overdosage?
There are no known overdose symptoms. If in doubt, consult your doctor.

As a general rule: Ensure a conscientious dosage, especially for infants, small children and the elderly. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any effects or precautionary measures.

A dosage prescribed by a doctor may differ from the information in the package leaflet. Since the doctor will adjust it individually, you should therefore use the medicine according to his instructions.

How does the ingredient of the medicine work?

After being introduced into the rectum, the active ingredient stimulates the production of mucus in the intestine, which increases the lubricity of the stool. It also causes increased absorption of water into the intestine and thus both the softening of the stool and an increase in volume, which then reflexively results in defecation due to the expansion of the intestinal wall.

Application

- ConstipationThe medicine should only be used if the constipation cannot be remedied by changing the diet.
