Shiva, whose name means "kind" or "merciful", embodies many opposites. He is both benevolent and mischievous, meditative and ecstatic. As a god of the universe, however, he has a special fondness for certain earthly places such as Mount Kailash and the city of Benares. Shiva is worshipped in various forms. He is seen both as a great yogi who practises asceticism and devotes himself to meditation, and as the great lord of the world or lord of dance, Nataraja. As Nataraja, he dances and crushes ignorance under his feet. He destroys everything that is not based on truth and love. The current great cleansing period of our planet is symbolised by Shiva Nataraja. The product is made of brass, is 10.5 cm tall and weighs approx. 140 g.
