What is boron?
Boron is one of the ultra-trace elements with the element symbol B and atomic number 5. It is categorised in the periodic table as a non-metal in the 3rd main group. In nature, the chemical element occurs in the form of borax or kernite, oxygen compounds of boron. It has a high tensile strength and the second-highest degree of hardness, surpassed only by diamond.
Occurrence of boron in soils and its importance for plants
The concentration of boron in soils is between 5 and 100 ppm. The soluble boron compounds in soils are mainly boric acid, which is absorbed by plants. Boron is an essential element for plants as it influences cell division, cell differentiation, cell elongation and tissue formation as well as nucleic acid and energy metabolism.
Application areas of boron compounds
Boron compounds are used in various industries, for example:

Important information
The boron concentration in food varies depending on the region, which means that the intake of boron through the diet can be very low. Children, adolescents, pregnant women, people with kidney disease or impaired kidney function should not take boron.

Recommended intake: Take 1 capsule daily with sufficient liquid. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. Food supplements are no substitute for a healthy, varied and balanced diet.
