The adult intubation trainer is an excellent aid for training in airway management. It has a realistic and lifelike anatomy, with the left side of the face visible through a side opening. This allows the intubation procedure to be closely observed and adjusted if necessary. The transparent walls of the pharynx and trachea also provide an ideal opportunity for monitoring. Access to the airways is easy and the head can be easily raised and hyperextended. The foam cushion ensures optimum positioning of the head.
The trainer enables nasal and oral intubation to be performed with various products such as ET tubes, laryngeal masks, laryngeal tubes and Combitubes. In addition, suction techniques for the mouth, pharynx and trachea can also be practised. The trainer gives acoustic signals, such as the dental alarm, which is triggered if too much pressure is applied to the incisors with the laryngoscope. The stomach alarm signals incorrect intubation when the tracheal tube is inserted into the oesophagus.
The trainer stand is made of lightweight aluminium and equipped with non-slip rubber feet. It also has two practical drawers for accessories such as laryngoscope, tubes, masks, lubricant and brush. The trainer measures 40x24x35 cm and weighs around 5 kg.
