Erler Zimmer lumbar spine simulator in detail
Advanced lumbosacral anterior and posterior approach simulator - a simulator that represents the lumbosacral junction in 3D print with all anatomical details. This simulator was created based on a real human CT scan at a scale of 1:1. It has similar drilling characteristics to a human bone, including cortical and cancellous bone. Included are lumbar vertebrae, sacrum, ligamentum flavum, intervertebral discs, dural sac and nerves. The pathology of the simulator includes a hypertrophic facet, a lumbar disc herniation and a spondylolisthesis L4-L5. The simulator enables surgical procedures such as anterior lumbar discectomy, anterior interbody fusion (ALIF), laminectomy, laminotomy, foraminotomy, lateral recess decompression, arthrodesis (transpedicular screws) and posterior and transverse lateral interbody fusion (PLIF and TLIF).
