You will receive a high-quality, life-size model of the respiratory system made of unbreakable plastic. The model is painted in detail and shows all the important anatomical details. The model allows you to better understand the structure and function of the respiratory system.
The model includes important features such as the diaphragm, which shows the muscles, ligaments and openings for the main vessels and oesophagus. The aorta shows the origins of the five abdominal arteries. In addition, three thoracic vertebrae and three lumbar vertebrae are shown.
The left lung is particularly interesting, as it is cut to reveal the bronchioles as well as the pulmonary arteries and veins. The larynx is also sectioned and shows all the detailed structures. This gives you the opportunity to study the complex interaction of the different parts of the respiratory system.
The heart of the model can be dissected and shows the atria and ventricles as well as the superior and inferior vena cava, the aorta, the pulmonary artery and the coronary sinus. This gives you a detailed insight into the anatomy and function of the heart.
