This product is a natural cast of a human spine of the highest quality. It contains a removable pelvis and is mounted on a movable metal spiral tube to make the spine stable and very flexible at the same time. The special flexible discs behave like natural intervertebral discs and are very resilient. The model also shows the spinal nerves and the vertebral artery. It comes without a stand.

EXTREMELY MOVABLE

The Erler Zimmer spinal columns are characterised by flexible intervertebral discs that compress on one side and expand on the other, just like in humans. This prevents unnatural gaps from forming between the vertebral bodies and intervertebral discs. All bone parts of the model are modelled exactly on the structures of a natural spine, including fissures, foramina and processus. Special attention was also paid to mobility. By using an unbreakable, movable metal tube, the spine remains permanently flexible and retains its mobility for years. This model is particularly suitable for demonstrating lordosis, kyphosis and scoliosis as well as for manual medicine. The flexible intervertebral discs, emerging spinal nerves and natural mobility demonstrate the interaction between the intervertebral disc, vertebral body and nerves very well. The Ilio-sacral joint is also movable and the pelvis can be removed.
