The medicine is a sleep aid for the short-term treatment of difficulties falling asleep and staying asleep. It belongs to the group of antihistamines and contains the active substance diphenhydramine hydrochloride. The recommended dosage is 2 tablets (50 mg diphenhydramine hydrochloride) before going to bed. Treatment should not last longer than 2 weeks. Side effects may include drowsiness, dizziness and gastrointestinal complaints. The medicine must not be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Directions for use
Take the tablets whole with water 30 minutes before going to bed. Sufficient sleep time of 7-8 hours should be ensured.
Dosage
Adults: 2 tablets (50 mg diphenhydramine hydrochloride). Dose adjustment may be necessary in patients with impaired liver or kidney function and in elderly patients. Children and adolescents under the age of 18 should only be treated after careful consideration of the risks and benefits.
Duration of use
Treatment should be as short as possible, ideally only a few days and no longer than 2 weeks.

Side effects

Interactions
The medicine should not be taken together with alcohol or MAO inhibitors. Concomitant use with other centrally depressant drugs can lead to increased drowsiness.
Contraindications
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to diphenhydramine hydrochloride, acute asthma, glaucoma, certain heart diseases and during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
