The PAX RTS Air rescue bag is characterised by the consistent absence of Velcro fasteners in order to protect the safety-relevant ropes and straps for winching. The all-round zip allows the rescue bag to be operated by a single person, even under adverse conditions. The internal lacing system in the head area and the colour-coded compression straps allow the rescue bag to be quickly adjusted to the patient.
Further safety is provided by the multiple loop system for attaching the harness to the helicopter for transport as an external load. Vertical recovery or abseiling is also possible and permitted. All loops and ropes are securely stowed in the pockets.
The PAX RTS Air rescue bag has passed the EUROCAE ED-14G / RTCA DO-160G tests for loose equipment and fulfils category U2 - Unknown helicopter frequencies. These tests were carried out in the TÜV SÜD test laboratory in accordance with the standards DIN EN 60068-2-64:2009 (vibration test) and DIN EN 60068-2-27:2010 (shock test). The PAX rescue bag RTS Air can therefore be used in flight operations without further proof.
