How do the ingredients of the medicine work?
Calcium ions play a crucial role in activating biological systems. A lack of calcium in the blood increases neuromuscular excitability, while an excess reduces it. Oral calcium supplementation promotes remineralisation of the skeleton in the case of calcium deficiency.colecalciferol is physiological vitamin D3, which is converted in the kidneys and liver to calcitriol, the active substance of vitamin D3. Calcitriol is responsible for the absorption of calcium and phosphate from the intestine supplied by food. The utilisation of calcium and its reabsorption from the kidneys are also vitamin D-dependent. The substance promotes the mineralisation of bones and thus inhibits their breakdown.
