Loperamid akut Heumann in detail
Loperamid akut Heumann is an effective remedy for the symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhoea in adults and children aged 12 and over. It helps to stop diarrhoea quickly and reliably if no causal therapy is available.
Directions for use:
- Adults: start with 2 tablets (4 mg), then 1 tablet (2 mg) after each unformed stool. Maximum daily dose: 6 tablets (12 mg).
- Children aged 12 and over: Start with 1 tablet (2 mg) and then 1 tablet (2 mg) after each unformed stool. Maximum daily dose: 4 tablets (8 mg).
- Children under 12 years of age: Not suitable.
Method of administration:
Take tablets unchewed with a little liquid (e.g. 1 glass of water).
Duration of use:
Do not take for longer than 2 days without medical advice. If diarrhoea persists, consult a doctor after 2 days.
