Prontosan® acute wound gel in detail
Prontosan® acute wound gel is a hydrogel specially developed for the treatment of superficial wounds and minor burns. It supports the healing of the skin by gently covering the wound, creating an optimal moist environment that promotes wound healing.
This gel is suitable for cleansing, moisturising and cooling superficial injuries such as abrasions and cuts.
Here are some instructions for use: Do not use the gel on heavily oozing or infected wounds. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after treatment. Clean and dry the wound carefully before applying the gel.
Carefully apply Prontosan® acute wound gel to the wound once or twice a day (two to six times a day for sunburn) without rubbing. If necessary, cover the wound with a plaster or bandage and change it daily. The gel should not be used continuously for more than 30 days.
The composition includes purified water, glycerol, hydroxyethyl cellulose, betaine surfactant and 0.1 % polyaminopropyl binguanide (polihexanide).
