B. Braun Dafilon® for microsurgery and ophthalmic surgery in detail

The black Dafilon® suture material is ideal for use in microsurgery and ophthalmic surgery in particular. It is made of polyamide 6, is non-absorbable and is not coated. The thread structure is monofilament and the suture material is synthetic. As with all nylon suture materials - although they are non-absorbable - progressive hydrolysis can lead to a gradual loss of tensile strength over time.

The Dafilon® suture material is available in the colours blue, plain and black - you can find all the different versions and sizes in our online shop!
