B. Braun Monosyn® suture material in detail
The medium-strength, absorbable, synthetic, monofilament suture material Monosyn® consists of a triblock copolymer of glycolide, ε-caprolactone and trimethylene carbonate. The suture material is used specifically for the following areas of application:
- Visceral surgery
- Gynaecology
- Urology
- Plastic surgery and reconstructive surgery
- Subcutaneous and intracutaneous skin closure
13 to 14 days after implantation, approx. 50% of the original tensile strength remains. Most of the resorption takes place after 60 to 90 days.monosyn® is available in the sizes USP 0 - 7/0 - all versions are available in our online shop!
