B. Braun PaediScope® accessories in detail
The paediatric endoscopy system from B. Braun impresses with its ergonomics and easy handling. During surgery, only the lightweight endoscope shaft and the 1.0 mm thin PaediScope® instruments are held in the hand. The heavier components such as the eyepiece and camera head are placed outside the operating area - for example on the patient's body - using a long, flexible image fibre cable. The PaediScope® can be held like a classic micro instrument, which facilitates the degrees of freedom and ergonomics of endoscopic work in the ventricular system. The introducer sleeve simplifies insertion of the system through the parenchyma and protects the brain tissue from lateral or in-and-out movements of the trocar.
