CORDES BPO 3% in detail
Cordes® BPO 3% Gel is suitable for the treatment of mild forms of acne in the facial area and for sensitive skin.
Active ingredients:
- 30 mg benzoyl peroxide
Excipients:
- Sodium hydroxide for pH adjustment
- Purified water
- carbomer
- 100 mg propylene glycol
Indication:
Cordes® BPO 3% Gel has an exfoliating and antibacterial effect and is suitable for all forms of endogenous acne, especially in the facial area and on sensitive skin.
Dosage and application:
- Apply the gel thinly to the affected skin 1 to 2 times a day.
- The dosage recommendations apply equally to children, adolescents and adults.
- The application period is usually at least 4 weeks until the skin inflammation subsides.
Side effects:
- Occasional: Skin irritation such as redness, itching, burning and tightness, which usually subsides after a few days.
- Rarely: Hypersensitivity reactions with redness, blistering and swelling; in such cases discontinue treatment and consult a doctor.
Warnings and precautions:
- Avoid contact of the gel with the eyes, mucous membranes and open wounds.
- Protect the treated skin areas from intensive UV radiation.
- The gel can bleach coloured textiles, avoid contact with them.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
- Only use the gel during pregnancy and breastfeeding after consulting a doctor. The gel should not be used in the last month of pregnancy.
Interactions:
- Avoid the simultaneous use of other skin-irritating agents.
Notes:
- Overdosage may cause increased skin irritation; in this case, reduce the frequency or quantity of application.
- If accidentally swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
