Dräger NIV nasal mask ClassicStar® plus in detail
The initial therapy for acute respiratory failure is often NIV treatment with mouth-nose masks, as potential problems with mouth breathing can also be resolved in this way. If NIV therapy is to be continued over a longer period of time and the patient has sufficient mouth breathing, this nasal mask is ideally suited to guarantee more comfort and at the same time avoid complications that can occur during NIV ventilation with mouth-nose masks. Optimum patient comfort is guaranteed by a customisable mask cushion. Unlike the previous model, the ClassicStar® Plus nasal mask also has a silicone sealing lip - for an even better seal. The 4-point headgear secures the mask firmly to the patient's head and prevents painful pressure points. In addition to the mask, a size template and a pump ball for inflating the mask cushions are included in the scope of delivery.The mask is available in the following versions:
- free nasal mask, size S-XL, white transparent colour coding
- non-free nasal mask, size S-XL, blue colour coding
