There are three small ossicles in the human middle ear: the malleus (hammer), the incus (anvil) and the stapes (stirrup). These small bones have the task of transmitting and amplifying sounds from the eardrum to the inner ear. They are located in the Os temporale, more precisely in the tympanic cavity.
Our ear ossicle set contains these three ossicles, which are presented in their natural size. They are so small that they fit on a fingernail. The ossicles are packed in a transparent Petri dish with a matching foam insert. They can be removed with ease.
