This soft belly model is an extremely useful tool for demonstrating correct injection technique and injection site rotation to patients. It is also great for practising self-injection with different types of syringes, including pen syringes. The surface of the model feels like real abdominal tissue, while the back is made of soft plastic to prevent puncturing. In addition, the model has small holes that ensure good air circulation and quick drying if you want to inject liquid. Please do not use actual insulin as this could damage the surface of the model. The injection belly is designed as a consumable item, but with careful care it can be used for a long time. You can extend the life of the model considerably by using the smallest possible needle and changing the injection sites regularly.
