HerzASS-ratiopharm 50mg in detail
HerzASS-ratiopharm® 50 mg tablets contain the active substance acetylsalicylic acid, which helps to inhibit the clumping of blood platelets (thrombocytes) and thus to prevent blood clots.
Application:
The tablets are used for the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular diseases, including unstable angina pectoris, acute myocardial infarction and for re-infarction prophylaxis after a first myocardial infarction. They are also used after vascular surgery and for temporary lack of blood flow in the brain (TIA) and cerebral infarctions.
Ingredients:
- Active ingredient: 50 mg acetylsalicylic acid
- Excipients: cellulose powder, microcrystalline cellulose, maize starch
Dosage:
The dosage depends on the respective indication and the doctor's instructions. Typical dosages are 2 tablets daily for the treatment of unstable angina pectoris and acute myocardial infarction and 1-2 tablets daily for the prevention of reinfarction and TIA.
Directions for use:
The tablets should be taken whole and with plenty of liquid, preferably after a meal, to prevent stomach problems. In acute myocardial infarction, the first tablet can be chewed.
Side effects:
As with all medicines, side effects may occur, including gastrointestinal discomfort, headaches and, rarely, serious bleeding. It is recommended to seek medical advice if side effects occur.
Contraindications and warnings:
The product must not be taken in case of hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid, acute gastrointestinal ulcers, severe liver and kidney problems and during the last 3 months of pregnancy. Existing allergies and other medical conditions should be discussed with a doctor before use.
Packaging unit:
HerzASS-ratiopharm® 50 mg tablets are available in packs of 20, 50 and 100 tablets.
