The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

Method of use?

Drop the medicine into the/each nostril. Clean your nose beforehand by blowing vigorously. Put your head back for the application. To avoid infection, the medicine should only be used by one patient at a time.

Duration of use?

The medicine should not be used for longer than 7 days.

Overdose?

If the medicine is used as described, no overdose symptoms are known. If large quantities are accidentally swallowed, consult a doctor immediately. Among other things, nausea, fever, cramps, cardiac arrhythmia, high blood pressure, breathing disorders, drowsiness and a drop in body temperature may occur.
In general: Pay particular attention to conscientious dosing, especially in infants, small children and the elderly. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any effects or precautions.
A dosage prescribed by a doctor may differ from the information on the package leaflet. Since the doctor will adjust it individually, you should therefore use the medicine according to his instructions.

Storage

Storage before opening
The medicine must be stored away from heat.
Storage after opening or preparation
The medicine must be used within the next hour after opening/preparation!
The medicine is intended for single use only after opening/preparation! Leftovers must be discarded!
This information only applies to the single-dose pipette. After opening the sachet, the medicine may be used for a maximum of 6 months.

What are the reasons against using it?

Always:
- Hypersensitivity to the ingredients
- Condition following brain surgery
- Narrow-angle glaucoma
- Drying of the nasal mucosa with bark formation (rhinitis sicca)
- Chronic damage to the nasal mucosa (atrophic rhinitis)
Under certain circumstances - talk to your doctor or pharmacist about this:
- Cardiovascular diseases, such as:
- High blood pressure
- Coronary heart disease (circulatory disorders of the heart muscle)
- Pheochromocytoma (adrenaline-producing tumour)
- Enlarged prostate
- Porphyria (metabolic disease)
- Metabolic diseases, such as:
- Diabetes mellitus (diabetes)
- Hyperthyroidism
What age group should I consider?
- Children under 12 years of age: The medicinal product must not be used.
What about pregnancy and breastfeeding?
- Pregnancy: Based on current knowledge, the medicinal product should not be used.
- Breastfeeding: Based on current knowledge, use is not recommended. Breastfeeding may need to be considered.
If you have been prescribed the medicine despite a contraindication, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. The therapeutic benefit may be greater than the risk associated with use in the case of a contraindication.

What adverse effects can occur?

- Irritation symptoms in the nose, such as:
- Burning of the mucous membranes
- Drying of the nasal mucosa
- Sneezing
- Feeling of a "blocked nose", due to increased swelling of the mucous membranes
- Nosebleeds
- Hypersensitivity reactions of the skin, such as:
- Skin rash
- Itching
- Angioneurotic oedema (swelling of the face, hand and foot)
- Headache
- Nausea
If you notice any discomfort or change during treatment, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

What should you be aware of?

- The medicine itself may cause a feeling of nasal congestion. If you try to eliminate this feeling with the help of this product, you run the risk of permanently damaging the nasal mucosa. The effect can already occur after an application of 5-7 days.
- There may be drugs with which interactions occur. You should therefore generally inform your doctor or pharmacist of any other medicine you are already using before starting treatment with a new medicine. This also applies to medicines that you buy yourself, use only occasionally or have been using for some time.

How does the active ingredient of the medicine work?

The active ingredient contracts the dilated veins in the mucous membrane of the nose and eyeball. This reduces the excessive blood flow to the olfactory and visual organs and swells the mucous membrane. Patients can breathe more freely through their nose again. In addition, it no longer runs constantly. Annoying redness and non-specific irritation in the eyes disappear.

General dosage recommendation:

- 2-4 drops per nostril

- 1-3 times daily
