Roche BD blood gas syringes in detail
The quality syringes from Roche have a balanced mixture of spray-dried lithium heparin, which prevents errors caused by dilution and electrolyte binding. Spray drying facilitates anticoagulant distribution and provides improved sample stability and quality. Clot formation is minimised by the high concentration of anticoagulant according to IFCC standards. The BD blood gas syringes are available in various combinations and sizes. They allow percutaneous sampling as well as blood sampling through an arterial access. The syringes also allow manual blood sampling in emergencies. The syringe can fill automatically through arterial pressure. To do this, the recommended volume must be set before the sample is taken. The special venting system enables the automatic expulsion of residual air when arterial blood enters the syringe.BD A-Line
