Take the medicine with liquid (e.g. 1 glass of water).
For acute myocardial infarction: Bite the medicine and allow it to take effect in the oral cavity.
Duration of use?
The duration of use depends on the nature of the symptoms and/or the course of the disease. It should therefore be determined in consultation with your doctor. In principle, the duration of use is not limited, so the medicine can be used for longer periods.
Overdosage?
A variety of overdose symptoms can occur, including dizziness, ringing in the ears, visual disturbances, confusion and breathing disorders. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor immediately.
Have you forgotten to take it?
Continue taking the medicine as normal (i.e. not with twice the prescribed amount) at the next prescribed time.
As a general rule: Pay particular attention to conscientious dosing, especially with infants, small children and older people. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any effects or precautionary measures.

What about pregnancy and breastfeeding?
- Pregnancy: Consult your doctor. Various considerations play a role in whether and how the medicine can be used during pregnancy.
- Breastfeeding: Consult your doctor or pharmacist. They will check your particular situation and advise you accordingly as to whether and how you can continue breastfeeding.

- Gastrointestinal complaints, such as
- heartburn
- nausea
- vomiting
- diarrhoea
- abdominal pain
- Micro-bleeding (barely visible or noticeable bleeding from tiny vessels), especially in the gastrointestinal tract
- Ulcers in the digestive tract, which can very rarely break through
- Gastric bleeding, usually recognisable by black stools; if this occurs, please consult a doctor immediately; in rare cases, bleeding can lead to anaemia.
- Hypersensitivity reactions of the skin

- In children and adolescents with febrile illnesses, the medicine should only be given on medical advice. Reye's syndrome, a rare but life-threatening condition in which prolonged vomiting occurs, may occur.
- Caution: Patients with nasal polyps, chronic respiratory tract infections, asthma or a tendency to allergic reactions such as hay fever: the medicine may trigger an asthma attack or a severe allergic skin reaction. Therefore, consult your doctor before use.
- Before an operation - this also includes minor procedures such as tooth extraction - tell your doctor that you are taking/using the medicine, as the bleeding time may be prolonged.
- Take care if you are intolerant to lactose. If you have to follow a diabetic diet, you should take the sugar content into account.
- There may be medicines with which interactions occur. You should therefore generally tell your doctor or pharmacist about any other medicine you are already taking before starting treatment with a new medicine. This also applies to medicines that you buy yourself, use only occasionally or have been using for some time.
- Alcohol consumption should be avoided as far as possible during long-term treatment. Occasional consumption of alcohol in small quantities is permitted, but not together with the medication.
How does the active ingredient of the medicine work?
The active ingredient has an analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effect. It blocks the formation of certain messenger substances in the body, known as prostaglandins. These are significantly involved in the development of pain, fever and inflammation.
Blood clotting is also influenced by acetylsalicylic acid. The substance prevents the blood platelets (thrombocytes) from clumping together and thus improves the fluidity of the blood.
Application
