Clabin® N in detail
Clabin® N is a medicinal product for the external treatment of corns, vulgar warts and calluses.
Application:
- Dosage: Apply 1 to 3 times daily to the affected skin areas. One application is normally sufficient for 4 to 6 weeks. Do not use for longer without medical advice.
- Maximum dose: Adults: 2 g daily for max. 1 week; children: 0.2 g daily.
Ingredients:
- Active ingredients: 140 mg salicylic acid, 46 mg lactic acid
- Excipients: Collodium S, elastic
Method of use:
- Application: Apply to the affected areas of skin, protecting healthy skin. Remove the existing film before reapplying. With regular use, the softened horny layer can be removed after a few days, e.g. after a hot soapy bath.
Side effects:
- Occasional: Slight to severe burning sensation on the treated skin.
- Very rare: Hypersensitivity reactions, dilation of small skin vessels, brown spots, photosensitivity, skin inflammation, pigment changes.
Interactions:
- Salicylic acid can increase the absorption of other locally applied medicines.
Contraindications:
- Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to salicylic acid, lactic acid or any of the ingredients.
- Do not use on infants, patients with renal insufficiency or breastfeeding mothers when treating large areas of skin.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
- Use only on small areas during pregnancy.
- Do not use on breastfeeding mothers.
Patient information:
- Do not use on the face or genital area.
- Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
- Warts are transmissible, therefore observe hygiene measures.
