The "Abdominal Phantom Child for CT, X-ray and radiotherapy" is a highly realistic simulation of an abdomen with contrast medium (portal venous phase) of a child with a flat vertebra (first lumbar vertebra). The phantom realistically depicts tissue contrasts in X-ray imaging. It includes the abdomen from the tenth thoracic vertebra to the base plate of the fourth lumbar vertebra, including the complete liver and both kidneys.

This phantom is produced from real patient data using the latest technologies. Bones, vessels and soft tissue are authentically represented and have realistic CT values for all tissues at a tube voltage of 120 kVp in CT. If the phantom is to be used primarily at a different tube voltage (e.g. 100 kVp), the CT values can be calibrated accordingly on request. It produces realistic tissue contrasts in X-ray imaging. Air spaces in the phantom are filled with a material that has approximately -80 Hounsfield units.
