Erler Zimmer Heran growing skeleton in detail
The developing skeleton differs significantly from an adult skeleton. Due to the numerous ossification centres and growth plates, the individual bones have a very different appearance. Skeletons of adolescents are quite rare in teaching collections. After an intensive search, however, we were able to find an outstanding specimen. The ability to judge and measure skeletal age is of great importance for anatomy students. This model is therefore a valuable addition to any teaching collection. As juvenile skeletons are difficult to come by, this skeleton is also a great help for forensic scientists and anthropologists to assess individual cases. The model comes with a stand and is 154 cm tall.
