The single breast examination trainer is a specially developed training device for training in cancer screening and breast self-examination. Breast self-examination is an important method for detecting cancer early and treating it effectively. With this trainer, you can demonstrate the correct manual examination and discuss the normal and abnormal findings.
The trainer model is made of soft, lifelike breast tissue attached to a sturdy base with modelled ribs. Interchangeable lumps and masses of different sizes, shapes and firmnesses can be placed in different locations in the breast to provide different training options.
A reddened orange peel indicates inflammatory breast cancer, while a dimple indicates a more invasive disease. The single breast exam trainer contains four soft lumps in skin colour, representing normal tissue, as well as three medium lumps in white and four hard lumps in red, including a fixed breast wall tumour. The nodules and masses vary in size from 1-3 cm and have a round and irregular shape to represent both cysts and malignant tumours.
In addition, the trainer contains baby powder, a carrying bag and an instruction card in English. The weight of the trainer is 1.3 kg.
