The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

Method of administration?

Take the medicine undiluted. However, you can also dilute the medicine with water or tea.

Duration of use?

You should not use the medicine for longer than 3 days without medical advice. If symptoms persist or recur regularly, you should consult your doctor.

Overdose?

A variety of overdose symptoms may occur, including nausea, vomiting, sweating, drowsiness and hepatic coma. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor immediately.

If you forget to take it,

continue taking it as normal (i.e. not double the amount) at the next prescribed time.
As a general rule, make sure you take the dose carefully, especially with infants, small children and older people. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any effects or precautions.
A dosage prescribed by a doctor may differ from the information on the package leaflet. Since the doctor will adjust it individually, you should therefore use the medicine according to his instructions.

Storage

The medicine may be used for a maximum of 6 months after opening/preparation!

What speaks against use?

Always:
- Hypersensitivity to the ingredients
Under certain circumstances - talk to your doctor or pharmacist about this:
- Impaired liver function (e.g.B. due to chronic alcohol abuse or liver inflammation)
- Restricted kidney function
- Gilbert's syndrome (Meulengracht's disease)
- Alcohol abuse
- Hereditary enzyme disorder (glucose-6-phosphatedehydrogenase deficiency)
- Anaemia due to rapid breakdown of red blood cells (haemolytic anaemia)
- Glutathione deficiency
- Dehydration
- Malnutrition
Which age group should be considered?
- Infants under 6 months of age: The medicine should not generally be used in this group. There are preparations that are more suitable in terms of active ingredient strength and/or pharmaceutical form.
- Adolescents aged 13 and over and adults: The medicine should not generally be used in this age group either. More suitable preparations are available.
- Elderly patients: The medicine should be used with particular caution.
What about pregnancy and breastfeeding?
- Pregnancy: Consult your doctor. Various considerations play a role in whether and how the medicine can be used during pregnancy.
- Breastfeeding: According to current knowledge, there is no evidence that the medicine should not be used during breastfeeding.
If you have been prescribed the medicine despite a contraindication, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. The therapeutic benefit may be greater than the risk associated with use in the case of a contraindication.

What adverse effects may occur?

What you should be aware of?

- In case of pain or fever, do not use for longer than specified in the package leaflet without medical advice!
- Prolonged use of painkillers can cause headaches, which are produced by the painkiller. Talk to your doctor to prevent your headaches from becoming chronic.
- The habitual use of painkillers can lead to permanent kidney damage. If several painkillers are combined, or if one painkiller contains several active ingredients, the risk of this increases.
- Caution: Regular or heavy alcohol consumption can lead to life-threatening conditions due to any existing liver damage if the medicine is also used.
- Caution if you are allergic to painkillers!
- Caution in case of allergy to the sweetener saccharin (E number E 954)!
- Caution in case of allergy to ascorbic acid (vitamin C)!
- Sulphites (E 220 - E 228) can cause hypersensitivity reactions (e.g. vomiting, diarrhoea) and cramping of the airways.
- There may be medicines with which interactions occur. You should therefore generally inform your doctor or pharmacist of any other medicines you are already taking before starting treatment with a new medicine. This also applies to medicines that you buy yourself, use only occasionally or have been using for some time.

How does the active ingredient of the medicine work?

The active ingredient has an analgesic and antipyretic effect. It also has mild anti-inflammatory properties. It blocks the formation of certain messenger substances in the body, known as prostaglandins. These are significantly involved in the development of pain, fever and inflammation.

Application

- Mild to moderate pain, such as:

- Headache

- Period pain

- Toothache

- Fever

- 2.5 ml

- 4 times daily

- Infants from 6-12 months with 7-9 kg body weight

- 6 hours apart, regardless of meal time

- 3.75 ml

- 4 times daily

- Infants from 1-2 years of age weighing 10-12 kg

- 6 hours apart, regardless of meal time

- 5 ml

- 4 times a day

- children aged 2-5 years with 13-18 kg body weight

- every 6 hours, regardless of the meal

- 7.5 ml

- 4 times a day

- children from 5-8 years with 19-25 kg body weight

- every 6 hours, regardless of meal time

- 10 ml

- 4 times daily

- children aged 8-11 years with a body weight of 26-32 kg

- at 6-hour intervals, regardless of meal time

- 12.5 ml

- 4 times daily

- children from 11-12 years with 33-43 kg body weight

- every 6 hours, regardless of the meal

Dosing guide: A measuring container is enclosed with the medicine for correct dosing.

Take on an empty stomach to promote the onset of action.

Patients with liver/kidney dysfunction or Gilbert (Meulengracht)syndrome: You may need to reduce the single/total dose or extend the dosing interval in consultation with your doctor.
