Posiformin 2% in detail
Posiformin® 2% eye ointment is an antiseptic ointment for the treatment of irritation of the outer eye and chronic inflammation of the eyelid margin. It supports the disinfection of the irritated edge of the eyelid and forms a protective barrier against invading bacteria. The ointment has an astringent effect and inhibits secretion, which leads to a rapid reduction in symptoms. It is preservative-free and well tolerated.
Application:
The ointment is applied 3 to 5 times a day as an approx. 0.5 cm long strand into the conjunctival sac of the diseased eye. After application, the eye should be closed to allow even distribution. It is recommended to tilt the head back slightly and carefully pull the lower eyelid away from the eye before applying the ointment. The tube should be carefully closed after use and kept out of the reach of children.
Ingredients:
The active ingredient is bibrocathol in a concentration of 20 mg/g. Other ingredients are white vaseline, viscous paraffin and lanolin.

Posiformin® 2 % Eye Ointment is intended for the temporary treatment of eyelid margin inflammation and irritation of the outer eye. It contains no preservatives and is therefore particularly well tolerated. If symptoms persist or the diagnosis is uncertain, a doctor should be consulted.
