Sonnentor nutmeg in detail
Not a nut and not for cracking. Its name is misleading because nutmeg is actually the seed kernel of peach-like tropical fruits. That is why it is not cracked but grated. On potatoes, tarte flambée and pumpkin soups, for example. And preferably fresh, as its resinous flavour is fleeting. Grating is encouraged!
