B. Braun Lyostypt® in detail
The wet-stable collagen fleece of bovine origin is suitable for local haemostasis in capillary bleeding, bleeding from parenchymal organs, oozing bleeding and as a supportive measure in other haemostasis techniques. The collagen haemostatic agent leads to platelet adhesion and activation of coagulation factor XII. It is completely absorbable, can be easily removed, used laparoscopically and combined with fibrin glue and antibiotics. Unlike other haemostatic agents, it does not interfere with cell growth. It also has excellent modelling and deformability properties.
