B. Braun Supramid suture material in detail
Supramid suture material is synthetic, non-absorbable and made of polyamide. Depending on the thread thickness, it is available in two different structures:
- USP 4/0 - 2: pseudo-monofilament, thread core made of polyamide 6.6, sheath made of polyamide 6
- USP 6/0 - 5/0: monofilament, made of polyamide 6
The suture material is particularly suitable for skin closure and drainage fixation.
