Erler Zimmer canine rectal examination simulator in detail
This realistic simulator enables training in the general clinical practice of urogenital rectal examination. The modular training model offers the opportunity for clinical physical examination and has easily interchangeable units for the prostate, urethra, rectum and lymph nodes. This allows the urogenital rectal examination in dogs to be accurately assessed.
Learners have the opportunity to improve their skills and validate their competence. They can practise on our realistic silicone model before applying their skills on a live patient. This builds confidence in their skills and techniques, which in turn helps to minimise negative patient outcomes.
The set includes six different models for urethra and prostate:
- Normal female anatomy
- Female anatomy with urinary calculi
- Normal castrated male anatomy
- Male anatomy with urinary calculi
- Asymmetric soft hypertrophic prostate
- Asymmetric rigid hypertrophic prostate
