Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.Unless otherwise prescribed, adults and adolescents over 12 years of age should take one coated tablet three times a day.Duration of useExperience has shown that a period of 4 - 6 weeks is required for the symptoms to improve significantly. If the symptoms persist after 4 weeks or worsen despite taking the medicine as prescribed, you should consult your doctor again.Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.If you have taken a larger amount than you shouldAfter taking significant overdoses over two weeks, convulsions and confusion have been observed.If significant overdoses are taken, affected patients should be protected immediately from sunlight and other UV radiation for a period of 1 - 2 weeks (limit outdoor exposure, protect from the sun by covering clothing and use sunscreens with a high sun protection factor, so-called "sun blockers"). If you have forgotten to take it:Continue treatment according to the dosage instructions or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take a double dose if you have forgotten to take the previous dose.If you stop taking the medicine:Talk to your doctor before interrupting or prematurely ending treatment.If you have any further questions about the use of the medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.How to take:Take the medicine whole with plenty of liquid (e.g. 1 glass of water) in the morning, at lunchtime and in the evening, preferably with meals.Side effects:Like all medicines, the preparation can have side effects, but not everyone necessarily experiences them.Not known (frequency cannot be estimated on the basis of the available data):Allergic reactions of the skin (redness, itching) The use of the medicinal product may lead to sunburn-like reactions or reddening of the skin and discomfort due to photosensitisation, especially in fair-skinned people who have been exposed to strong sunlight. Tiredness, restlessnessGastrointestinal complaintsIf these side effects occur, you should consult your doctor, who will decide whether it is necessary to discontinue the preparation.If you notice any side effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist. In individual cases, undesirable effects such as nausea, vomiting, anxiety, restlessness and confusion may occur more frequently.Concomitant treatment with other medicines that increase the skin's sensitivity to light may increase the undesirable effects on the skin.Contraindications:The medicine must not be taken if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to St John's wort or any of the other ingredients, if the skin is known to be hypersensitive to light and in cases of severe temporary depressive disorders.The preparation must not be used together with the following medicines:Medicines to suppress rejection reactions to transplants (immunosuppressants for internal use), e.g. ciclosporin, tacrolimus, everolimus, sirolimusMedicines for the treatment of HIV infections or AIDS, e.g. Indinavir, amprenavir, efavirenz, nevirapineCell growth inhibitors in cancer treatment (cytostatics), e.g. imatinib, irinotecanCoumarin-type anticoagulants, e.g. phenprocoumon, warfarinPregnancy and breastfeeding:There is insufficient experience to date in pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers. Therefore, this medicine should only be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding if the doctor considers it absolutely necessary.FertilityData on effects on fertility are not available.Patient information:Warnings and precautionsPlease talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the medicine.The effectiveness of other medicines may be weakened or increased if the preparation is used at the same time. It may therefore be necessary to adjust the dosage of the other medicines. Patients who take this preparation and the active substances listed in the "Interactions" category at the same time should therefore seek the advice of their treating doctor.Women who take or use hormonal contraceptives ("pill", depot injection, contraceptive patch, contraceptive implants, contraceptive vaginal ring) and take this preparation at the same time may experience intermenstrual bleeding and the safety of hormonal contraceptives may be reduced. Women of childbearing potential who do not take any contraceptive measures should consult their doctor before taking the medicine. Before planned surgical procedures involving general or partial anaesthesia, you should talk to your doctor at least 1 - 2 weeks in advance to identify possible interactions between the preparations used. In this case, the medicinal product should be discontinued at least one week before the operation.During the use of this medicinal product, intensive UV radiation (long sunbathing, high-altitude sun, solariums) should be avoided.ChildrenThere are insufficient studies on the use of this medicinal product in children. The medicinal product should therefore not be used in children under 12 years of age.Ability to drive and operate machinery:Sufficient studies on the effects on the ability to drive and operate machinery have not been carried out.
