Skin antiseptic for preoperative use, blood sampling and injections
Fields of application:
- Preoperative skin antiseptics
- Before catheterisation, injections, blood sampling, punctures, excisions, cannulations and biopsies
- Suture care
- Support for general hygiene measures to prevent fungal skin diseases
- Hygienic hand disinfection
Instructions for use:
- Before all invasive procedures
- Undiluted application of kodan®
- Spraying the affected skin area or alternatively rubbing with a soaked swab
- Ensure complete wetting of the skin
- Adhere to the exposure times according to the area of application
Before joint punctures and during preoperative skin antisepsis:
- Mechanical shortening or chemical removal of hair from the affected skin area
- Recommendation for preoperative washing (e.g. with octenisan®)
Active ingredients:
- 200 mg hydrogen peroxide solution
- 200 mg water, purified
- 200 mg biphenyl-2-ol
- 45000 mg 2-propanol
- 10000 mg 1-propanol
Composition:
100 g contain: 45.0 g 2-propanol, 10.0 g 1-propanol, 0.2 g 2-biphenylol.
Further ingredients: Hydrogen peroxide solution 30 % (Ph. Eur.), purified water.
