What is PABA?
PABA is the abbreviation for para-aminobenzoic acid, an organic carboxylic acid. This substance is an important component for the production of folic acid (vitamin B9). PABA belongs to the group of vitaminoids, i.e. vitamin-like substances. It is often assigned to the vitamin B group, although it is not a vitamin.
