Product description

Organic wakame flakes 25 g in detail

Wakame flakes in proven organic quality

Wakame flakes are a mineral-rich brown algae that has been collected and consumed along the coasts of China, Japan and Korea for centuries. In these countries, wakame is an important part of the daily diet. Our wakame flakes come from organic wild growth off the Atlantic coast of Spain. However, due to the high iodine content, seaweed should be consumed in moderation.

Special features of our wakame flakes:

  • 100% organic
  • Gluten-free
  • Raw food quality
  • Without artificial additives
  • Contains natural iodine
  • Slightly crunchy
  • Air-dried under 40°C

Contents: The wakame flakes consist of 100% organically grown wakame algae (Undaria pinnatifida).

Preparation: The wakame flakes should first be washed and soaked in water for 10-15 minutes. Then rinse thoroughly and use as a salad topping with sesame seeds, lemon and fresh chilli.

Note: Soaking in water increases the weight/volume by a factor of six.

Consumer information: Wakame is naturally rich in iodine. Excessive iodine intake can lead to thyroid disorders. The recommended average daily amount is no more than 0.2 mg iodine.

Storage instructions: Store the product in a cool, dry place and keep it out of the reach of small children.

Allergen information: Wakame flakes may contain small particles from the sea and traces of crustaceans, molluscs and fish.
