When allergy-causing substances enter the body, the messenger substance histamine is released in the mucous membranes of the eyes and nose, causing them to become inflamed. The active ingredient prevents the allergic reaction by keeping histamine away from the mucous membranes. In this way, the active ingredient combats the unpleasant allergic symptoms in the eyes and nose, such as itching, redness, swelling or sneezing, within minutes.
